Award recipients must be a United States citizen, an in-state undergraduate student, have a current or previous APPLES experience and maintain a 3.3 GPA.

Description

The J. Desai Global Service-Learning Travel Award was established in 2007 and is made possible through a contribution from Jatin Desai who created a permanent endowment for this purpose. The funds are used to defray travel costs for APPLES program participants who are extending their work with communities abroad. Two $500 awards are given to two recipients each year. Upon their return to campus, recipients are expected to submit three to five photos representing their experience, as well as an accompanying narrative or caption for each.
