Description

This scholarship in the School of Media and Journalism honors Ed Jackson, a veteran foreign correspondent for United Press International and Time magazine. An award of around $2,500 is given annually to an undergraduate journalism major, preferably from North Carolina, to travel or work abroad to learn about culture, politics and media. Awarded to a student in the school who is in the journalism specialization who will spend a summer traveling abroad. Must be a resident of North Carolina.
